Maimouna Mbacké

Chargée de Communication

Maimouna is the country director of the NGO Technoserve. An organization that uses private sector approaches to support entrepreneurs and farmers in more than 30 countries for 60 years. Previously, she was international relations manager for WRAP, a United Kingdom-based NGO working on the circular economy and environmental conservation. She is also co-founder of Alliwoh Learning hub (www.alliwoh.com), a platform that offers English coaching, translation and interpretation services to French-speaking executives. 

With over 10 years of professional experience, she has worked in the banking sector, in retail, in marketing and in strategy development consulting with Dalberg. 

Maimouna has a transversal profile with a specialization in entrepreneurship and international development. She is particularly passionate about the issues, economic empowerment of women and youth and strongly believes that sustainable development for the African continent cannot be achieved without the participation of women. 

Maimouna has a degree in marketing and in management from the Ecole Supérieure Polytechnique de Dakar (ex-ENSUT); in entrepreneurship, from Northwestern University in the USA and an MBA specialized in Finance and Sustainability from the University of Nottingham in England. She also studied English language at Kaplan International School in New York. She is the recipient of several awards, including the 2019 Chevening Fellowship from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Mandela Washington Fellowship (YALI) 2017 from the US Department of State. 

She is communication officer at WIC Senegal since 2022.
